Frequently asked questions

How do I reset my password?

Open the app, tap "Log out" from your profile, then tap "Log in" on the welcome screen and choose "Forgot password". You'll get an email with a reset link.

How do I cancel my Kitabi Premium subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Kitabi → Cancel. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

I was charged but Premium features are not unlocked.

Open the app → Profile → Settings → Restore Purchases. This forces Kitabi to re-check your subscription status with Apple. If the problem persists, email us with your Apple receipt.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Profile → Settings → scroll down → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data. The action cannot be undone.

The app crashes when I open a lesson.

Try force-closing the app and reopening. If that doesn't help, make sure you're on the latest version (App Store → Kitabi → Update). If the crash continues, email us with your device model, iOS version, and which lesson caused it.

The AI tutor is slow or not responding.

The AI tutor depends on an internet connection and the availability of our AI provider. Check your connection, or try again in a minute. If the issue persists, contact support.

Why does the app need microphone access?

Kitabi uses your microphone for Arabic pronunciation practice and voice calls with practice partners. You can revoke microphone access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Microphone.

Can I use Kitabi offline?

Most reading content, vocabulary, and flashcards work offline once loaded. The AI tutor, voice calls, and content imports require an internet connection.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email us at the address below with a short description, the screen where it happened, and (if possible) a screenshot. We read every message.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by Kitabi. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Kitabi purchase, and request a refund. Apple decides refund eligibility.
